|    Rebuilding slums?    |
|    25 Nov 23 06:36:36    |
From: rking164@comcast.net              In this new age of shortages everywhere, one needs to avoid pitfalls before       being overwhelmed.              I think back to 1968 and th Chicago Democratic Convention. We also think back       to the race riots in the West side of Chicago when the neighborhood wa       destroyed by the riots. Daley vowed to not rebild the community which       destroyed itself and/or no one        would invest in the community to provide jobs nor rebuild. To this day, the       West side of Chicago is a slum like Detroit.              Detroit is a classic example of slum city, but as bad as Detroit is, Gaza       fares much worst. Bear in mind there are slums all over America which could       use money to rebuild. Hell, there are sluums all over the world neding money       to help the poor. So why        the hell should the slus of Gaza be te first in line to receive welfare to be       provided by the US taxpayer borrowing the money to do so? After all, the       actions of the rulers of Gaza are worst than those of US criminal gans who       reside in the US slums. US        voters are not going to reward Congressmen who give away money to states run       by beastly killers.              Perhaps, we are being Christian or humane by limitng the slaughter, but we do       not need to borrow money to fund the actions of etortionists.              The funds neded to rebuild Gaza will be provided by those who are generous       enough to trust the people of Gaza with their investment. Notice the need for       trust. It seems that Gaza has permantly lost my trust for some reason.              It seems that Gaza will need to obtain the funds for rebuilding from someone       other than Israel or the US. Biden may try to offer some money but GOP and       Trump will veto any idea of providing US oney to help Gaza.              It seems perhaps apprpropriate a more permanent truce using North Korea as an       example. We can open the airport, seaport and the southern crossing       immediately, but there will be no employment for Gazans in Israel and the       rulers of Gaza will have the        impossible task of rebuilding another world slum. As the wounds of Gaza were       caused by Israeli responses to the actions of the criminals that reside in       Gaza but Gaza can not control.                     If Gaza attacks Israel again, then it is not to difficult to guess the Israeli       response.              Gaza needs to act as a responsible community if it expects to be a sovereign       state and this includes financial responsibility              It is in fact ridiculous for Hamas to expect either US or Israel to pay to       rebuild Gaza. Pehaps they can use Iranian money to help the citizens instead       of constructing an undground fortress and the purchasing of weapons.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
