From: rking164@comcast.net              What is new in the Gaza war isthe usage of AI to asssist in targeting and the       algorithm considerations.       The machine intelligence gives a collateral damage statistic concerning each       attack's decision making, and it is rapid.       Being realistic, itwould be impossible to guarantee that only an active Hamas       fighter will be the only human within range of a related weapon strike,       especially if the fighters are hiding or fighting from near civilians or their       own family.       Anyhow, of military significance is the military effectiveness of such tactics       and how they may be used in other war time scenarios, including Ukraine.       To complicate it all, the best technology is probably classified top secret so       we can only make educated guesses here. . . . but we get the general idea.              Collateral damage is never zero and the amount of minimization is a relative       number. It can be adjusted with a software change in a program.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
