Prior to it breaking off of South       America and the formation of the circumpolar       current it was much warmer.              See, apart from the currents the only way to       heat up a continent is to increase the energy       from the sun. Which can happen. The sun goes       through cycles -- periods in which it produces       more or less energy. And to cool a continent       you need to either change the currents, which       is how the planet distributes energy from the       sun, or block the sun via a super volcano or       an asteroid strike... something like that.                                          -- --              http://jtem.tumblr.com/post/178506879733              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
