   Was just watching an old documentary (1998)   
   on ancient egypt I came across on the Roku   
   box and they threw out an interesting number:   
      
   One out of three ancient Egyptian babies   
   died at birth.   
      
   I don't have any numbers (percentages) on how   
   many people survived childhood, but a variety   
   of sources I've run across claim that life   
   expectancy for those that did was in the 30s.   
      
        ...most never saw 40.   
      
   They must've been breeding like bunnies, huh?
