   And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written   
   within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel   
   proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose   
   the seals thereof? And one    
   of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda,   
   the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven   
   seals thereof. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the   
   book, and to open the    
   seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood   
   out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And I saw when the   
   Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder,   
   one of the four beasts    
   saying, Come and see. And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the   
   second beast say, Come and see. And when he had opened the third seal, I heard   
   the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he   
   that sat on him had a    
   pair of balances in his hand. And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard   
   the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And when he had opened the   
   fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the   
   word of God, and for the    
   testimony which they held: And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal,   
   and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth   
   of hair, and the moon became as blood;   
      
   And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living   
   God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given   
   to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea,   
   nor the trees, till we    
   have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And I heard the number   
   of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four   
   thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. Of the tribe of Juda   
   were sealed twelve    
   thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of   
   Gad were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve   
   thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe   
   of Manasses were sealed    
   twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the   
   tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were   
   sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand.   
   Of the tribe of Joseph were    
   sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.   
   And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the   
   space of half an hour. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the   
   grass of the earth,   
    neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not   
   the seal of God in their foreheads. And when the seven thunders had uttered   
   their voices,   
      
   I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up   
   those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. And cast   
   him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he   
   should deceive the    
   nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that   
   he must be loosed a little season. And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings   
   of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
