   Exactly the opposite!  Americans are traditionally isolationists. It   
   took the Cold War and a massive scare campaign -- "The Russians   
   are coming!  The Russians are coming!" -- to keep us interested

   increasingly annoyed by the money we waste "Defending" at   
   bunch of back stabbing ingrates who always throw us in front of

   Conservatives see Puerto Rico as a major problem:  A money pit   
   with an open door for Spanish Speaking people. States like   
   Massachusetts, where I'm living pay more to the federal government   
   in taxes than we receive, while Puerto Rico receives a lot more than
