   So did the Phoenicians murder their babies on the alter,   
   "Sacrifice" their own children?  And did they give up   
   their daughters to temple prostitution?   
      
   I'm gonna vote "No."   
      
   It's likely that "Cults" existed, as they did in Roman times   
   or even exist today, and some may or may not have   
   practiced something that would seem "Extreme" even to   
   the Pagan Romans. But, I doubt it.   
      
   I mean, the British invented "Pope Joan" and the Spanish   
   Inquisition -- the inquisition wasn't even as prolific as   
   queen Elizabeth, though they were around for far longer --   
   or what about "The Huns" in the First World War? I really   
   don't find it a stretch to think that ancient Pagans wouldn't   
   dare to go where the British strayed so many times...   
      
   So I vote "No," that the Phoenicians did not indulge in
