   Status as suggested was not an element until stratified cultures rose   
   within the last 10 k years.  Even until recent centuries, they were in the   
   monority in the cultures of the earth.  Egalitarian cultures have been the   
   vast majority of modern human history and any individual claiming status as   
   suggested would get his head handed him.   
      
      
   Cultural based behaviors often override biology and access to women is   
   culturally defined.  This was the case even when the first stratified   
   cultures began to appear.
