i'm using synchronet BBS like xxcarol and others... my version of sbbs is
newer but not the latest bleeding edge version... there was a change from
using CVS repository to GIT repository for the code and i've just not taken
the time to make the switch...

sbbs has its own tic processor written in (server-side) javascript... it works
well but is still pretty basic and doesn't have all of the capabilities of
allfix and other tic processors... i did quite a bit of work on it back in
2018/2019 to get it to work better for hubbing systems but it needs more love
and attention...

my system is all native linux these days... no more bubblegum and shoestrings
holding things together like i had with my old RA/FD/FE/Allfix/binkd hybrid
setup running on OS/2... i like it a lot better :)
