Hi, Ardith...

No problem. I spend almost as much time answering BBS mail as I do with
the doorgames.
AH>No problem. That way I can break my reply into installments... thus

AH>I think you've added some more recent information as well.
I know there are other things in life outside the BBS. Although at a
BBS users meeting in the area years ago (when there were many more BBS's
than there are now (mine is the only one left in Arkansas)), when one of
the participants said "there are other things in life besides BBSing",
you should have heard the chorus of "NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".
AH>My apologies for taking so long to answer.... :-)
No problem. I've been away from the BBS for a few days, since severe
weather blasted through Arkansas this past Sunday. A high risk of severe
weather from the Storm Prediction Center proved valid, when a supercell
thunderstorm (a severe thunderstorm with rotating updrafts) developed
less than 10 miles to my west. It rapidly became tornadic, and was on
the ground for at least 30 miles, destroying everything in its path.
Preliminary damage ratings give it an EF-3 on the Enhanced Fujita
Scale, but damage surveys are still being done. With the migraine
headache I had from being in front of the computer and monitoring all
the weather data (until the lightning got too close), I took some time
off from the BBS. So, in both messages and doorgames, I have catching up
to do.
AH>I know or have known a number of people with asthma, and it seems to

I know a woman, a bit older than I am, who I was taking care of for a
time...she uses the nebulizer for her asthma. But, she is bi-polar, and
I really don't want anything else to do with her. She can't focus on her
needs, and eliminate her wants. I mean "would it be too much trouble if
we could make up our minds??".
Being widowed (this past Sunday was 7 years since my wife died), I
know "what's under the hood". So, after getting her into the Emergency
Room, and they noted she had 30 pounds of fluid on her...and told me
that they had to remove all of her clothing, I said "do what you need to
do". When that Lasix hit her system, it was like a dam had burst, with
the urine filling up the catheter bag at a rapid pace. She was diagnosed
with congestive heart failure and lupus. :(
AH>Thus lulling you into a false sense of security. Been there. ;-)
I took all the medicine as prescribed. I even keep an updated
Medical list, with prescriptions, surgeries, etc. that I take to each
clinic, doctor, or hospital visit.
AH>Uh-huh. These remedies may contain epinephrine... i.e. another name
AH>for adrenaline... or (more likely) a synthetic approximation.
AH>According to my BANTAM MEDICAL DICTIONARY it relaxes bronchial

AH>it being used for bronchitis until now. But I see how it might be
AH>helpful if there's a "pain/fear" cycle or whatever.
The Epi-Pen I have (which I replace every so often), is what I'd use
if I got stung. That's a massive dose of epinephrine, and a call to 911
is necessary immediately after injection.
