I'm in the hosptal now, I had my 4th hip surgery in 26 years on the 19th. Had
my left hip done June 20th. I had my first hip done, left in '91 when I was
18, and my right in ;90.

It's best to do it before it gets cold out, not only because it will be
easier to get around, the warmth keeps your muscles loose, and it's a lil
tougher for rehab. Plus the fact that I had both done so close to each other,
medicine has come a LONG ways since '90. Plus I have a MUC better range of
motion.  

I'd say do it as soon as you can!
