By: Kurt Weiske to Darren Darko on Sat Feb 11 2023 09:51 am The old vintage Zenith Trans-Oceanics were tube based, I've had a couple of them over the years. If I find another one this summer that doesn't need too much work, I'll let you know. The audio out of them is phenomenal. Even throwing a wire outside helps with the local RF noise level on the receiver, but getting rid of powerline adapters and "wall-wart" power supplies (or at least unplugging them) should knock the rest of the noise out for you --- SBBSecho 3.15-Win32 * Origin: http://realitycheckbbs.org | tomorrow's retro tech (1:218/700) SEEN-BY: 1/123 10/0 1 15/0 90/1 102/401 103/1 705 106/201 120/340 SEEN-BY: 123/131 153/7715 214/22 218/0 1 109 215 650 700 830 840 860 SEEN-BY: 218/870 880 226/30 227/114 229/110 111 112 113 114 206 307 SEEN-BY: 229/317 424 426 428 470 664 700 266/512 282/1038 301/1 317/3 SEEN-BY: 320/219 322/757 342/200 396/45 460/58 PATH: 218/700 229/426 |
