DOesn't surprise me. I used to like listening to their
latin music program on SAturday nights, after ARnie Coro's
feature for swl and ham folks. Does ARnie still do that or
do you know?
I worked him once after a pretty good hurricane, back in
around 200-01 iirc, I still lived in Iowa then anyway. I
asked him casually if there was anything we could do for him or his neighbors
(believe it or not U.S> still does have a
3rd party agreement with Cuba) and he hemmed and hawed a
bit. Read later that the Castro government ordered hams not to provide damage
reports or even ask for assistance from
outside stations at peril of losing their licenses.
