My dad has an Alinco power supply where he can "dial out" the noise that the
PS causes. It's pretty neat.

I wish I'd not given away the other batteries I'd received; I could have put
two of them together for more amperage. I'm wanting a particular charger -
around $100 - that will work especially well with gel cells. The charger will
limit the voltage to around 13.4 volts and then trickle down the charge to
make sure each cell has 2.4v without "burning" the cell with higher amperage.
Of course, once I start working, I'll have money for all of these toys. :)

I did not know that but I can safely tell you that none of these outlets in
here use those because "maintenance" is a foreign concept to my landlord.
