CK>Okay all, have a question about long wire antennas. What is a safe length wh CK>will not load my radio down causing harm. I have a Sony portable. It does ha CK>an antenna jack but I would likely clip to top of existing antenna. In addit CK>is there a certain configuration of antenna that would work best. Anyone hav CK>any experiance. I saw an article regarding the use of a 'UNUN' balin, wonder CK>if this is needed. For SWL there is no such a thing as too much antenna. Yuo are trying to capture distant signals so the more the better. For as longwire no balin is required since you wil be cliping it to the built in antenna. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ Typo Tom strikes agaoin * Origin: Fidonet Since 1991 And Still Here.
