Thanks, one of the things enjoyed in more recent versions of Syncterm is the
ability to hit alt+L for logging in to a BBS and having the user and password
settings all set up.
 
As it is you can supposedly hit alt+L and if the password does not take, a
person can hit Alt-L again.  The Alt-L option works great on the sychronet
BBSs and a few others, but not all.
 
Is there a chance that a different key could be assigned to the password
field.  That way when alt-L enters the user field but fails to send the
password, the password can be sent by another Alt+(letter) command?
