What is onf.exe?  I still have a backup of my Windows Synchronet setup, and I
didn't have an onf.exe in my sbbs\ctrl directory.  Also, I don't think there
should be any executables in sbbs\ctrl..  That directory is for configuration
files & data.  So I'm wondering if onf.exe must have been a 3rd-party utility
you got from somewhere else?
