Mind you, these were scripts I wrote, one of which is one line, and the other
is maybe 5 lines. No where near as difficult or time consuming.

It's just as "secure" as opening up telnet or http on your firewall, and it's
still all served by Synchronet itself, so I would imagine all of the built in
throttling and whatnot would still apply.
