i dunno. i think  you should just make it so it shoots the person the 
password when they say they forgot the pw. you dont have to show the email 
address and there's no harm done.  even show in the email  the ip 
address and say that 'if this wasn't you, you should know'.
maybe have an option to email the sysop if there's another issue.

i just think it would be more effective overall.
