Cosmetic improvements and an important bug fix

Whoa, can't use strchr() here, this ain't C or C++!

Don't need to set SS_NEWUSER here since it's now always set in s
bs_t::newuser().

Use gettext() - so less use of text.dat strings (e.g. ContinueQ which now has
no uses!).

More prompting to cancel the new user registration process and more details
about rejecting user strings/values and when restarting the prompt loop.
