Eliminate import/export of SUBS.TXT - old/obsolete file format

Usability improvements: use K_FIND to solve false "Save Changes" prompts
when no actual config changes were made.

Better detection and messages about trying to export to an existing directory
(instead of a file) and if the file exists, what its path/name is and if/when
there's an open error, the actual errno value.
