No and no, but I have had an ah-ha moment!

I logged on via telnet, and then used the syncterm scrollback feature.
logon.a?? *IS* displaying, but it is going by so fast (and without pausing!)
that I don't see it.  Sorry I didn't think of using that feature before.

I checked and I do still have "Screen Pause: On" set in my user profile.  For
some reason, that pause between logon.asc/ans and Bullseye is no longer
happening.  So, the screens are displaying but not really.
