The SMB format does specify that lines of message text (extended descriptions
for file bases) are supposed to be CRLF terminated, so this does technically
violate the spec, though I don't observe any negative consequences of this
(e.g. display issues).

Still, it's possible that some tools or apps might render shut message base
text incorrectly.
