Yes, the file library long name.

I want my long name to be "CD Collections|Shareware to the Maxx!|Volume 1"

Then using Nightfox's file area chooser, this will create 3 collapsed levels.
"CD Collections" then "Shareware to the Maxx!" and then "Volume 1".

So to me, the length doesn't really matter since my chooser and menus are
custom. It seems the limit is just to protect the sysops from themselves on an
unmodified Synchronet installation.

I don't plan on having more than 3 levels, so 60 characters would be about
perfect.
