   Evelyn, I really would plead with you to reconsider your intentions. You   
   have had a bad time under harassment from David V; the older members   
   have learnt to ignore most of what he says (not all; he does   
   occasionally say something intelligent).   
      
   There are many lurkers here who would be happy to have sensible   
   discussions on a wide variety of subjects, and your input could be   
   important, in that we have often written ourselves out!   
      
   It was largely my fault that David got into his paddy, since I commented   
   on the fact that Buddhism was a godless religion. Unfortunately David   
   had met a Buddhist who either did not understand English as well as he   
   thought, or was an aberrant member of the religion. One personal contact   
   will sway some people against a world of written evidence.   
      
   So please, try to forget this rather bruising experience, and restart   
   where you first intended.
