   and there is no way to -verify- that said 'fossil'   
      
   was/is a "common ancestor" to any   
   set of disparate living organisms.   
      
      
   if you do -not- =assume= "common ancestry"   
      
   this 'fossil' tells you nothing.   
      
      
   if you're already -assuming- "common ancestry"   
      
   you can dance around in circles all you like,   
      
   but this thing does little to -prove- "common ancestry"   
      
   nor can it.
