      From: adam.ozturk1990@gmail.com              Interesting.               There are esotericists who would disagree that the Mass/Liturgy/Sacramental       system in non-Coptic traditions is non-Theurgic. I'd say there's quite a bit       of theurgy even if the one engaged has a more flat exoteric understanding of       their work. I don't know        a single Coptic clergyman who has anything other than the typical high church       Christian's understanding of their worship. Yes the Eastern Churches have an       intuitive sense of the mystical that does not always line up with other       esoteric systems.               I am not sure I follow then how the Copts are Theurgical but others are not,       especially other non-Chalcedonian churches like the Ethiopian Orthodox       Tewahedo Church which is essentially identical to the Coptic and in close       proximity to them in every way.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
