   While it's good that we have found some common ground,  albeit because of a   
   disturbing discovery we all wish didn't exist,  I do wish to address a point   
   of fact in your comment.    
      
   Dale DID act on his feelings.  He may not have molested her (and while that's   
   something if- IF- true), such a  confession is an act,  and an act that is   
   nonetheless damaging to the poor girl.   
      
   He may have been testing the waters,  and when she said no, used such as a way   
   to make himself,  in his warped mind,  looks heroic,  even if it's clear to   
   all he's anything but. And even if not intending to actually do anything   
   physical with her, saying    
   something like that to a girl that age is going to be quite a scarring   
   mindfuck for her,  given that adult- child role reversal put upon her as well   
   a secret she's now struggling with.
