Rereading this, I suppose being muddled might be that.

And recalling why the question was asked, joy occurs.
As if joy were the litmus test. And Lao Tzu failed.

The conversation has gone from Sat Chit Ananda,
aka, Being Consciousness Bliss and Self Realization to Tao,
since that word can mean anything one chooses for it to mean, and
to include all who live and breathe, except for a caveat.

   >>> Unfortunately, living Knowledge (i.e. how to sync with the Tao of right

   >>
   >> If by "a living Master" you mean a human individual, you are absolutely
   >> wrong.

As if the Tao of right now isn't right now, for everyone, right now.
And only a living Master is able to key someone into the present.

Like, if you didn't get your present, right now, from a bonafide,
authenticated, seal by approval, then you can't unwrap it.

   Pinnipeds can be that way.

No one is allowed in the Zone until they pass the urine test.

   >Why?
   >What else do we have, except 'human individuals'?

If someone obtains living Knowledge by any means, one does.

Since it's in everyone, by definition,
it makes sense any means possible are possible
for those for whom it is possible, and actually occurs.

The only way that can't be true, is by definitions of the words
which entail, only living breathing people impart living Knowledge,
and some people are very dogmatic in their meanings of words.

Yet, they may say all words mean the same thing.
   Enlightenment, satori, Tao, Christ-consciousness, Buddha-nature,
   cosmic-awareness, Mind, the ECK, etc.

   >Unless, as the Egyptians seem to have believed, you think monkeys and
   >hawks are higher?
   >Sometimes I wonder about cats.

If someone gets it from a tree, then that's how it happens.

If someone sees it in a bush, that appears to be burning,
and is drawn to it, and hears a voice speaking, then that's it.

If someone is able to perform what are called miracles,
and another sees in that performance, living Knowledge, and
is so taken with the living Master it is as if he or she is as God
incarnate, as in the case of Ram Dass, then that's how it goes.

If someone gets it in a book, then that's how it went.

A home run is a home run.
But some say that if you don't touch each base
then the run does not count, according to Hoyle.
No matter if the ball went over the fence.
   It means nothing.
