Except he said all words, e.g. Tao,       enlightenment, satori, you name it, mean the same thing.              Sometimes mystical experiences give rise to that impression.       One is able to see how that is. I have no problem there.       Seeing how all that goes, having experienced it.       I like to harp on differences, and play the accordion to.              He says, he knows for a fact, something about all people.       And, in his logic, in how he sees things, it's perfectly logical,       to him, that everyone has the same light within.              I can see that. I have no problem seeing that.              He said he wasn't a living Master.       I do recall that. And I can appreciate saying that.       The words might be objectionable or carry weights       that one may not care to justify in various ways.              His epistemology can be subject to question       but I've not explored that avenue very much with him.              Yet, if he has seen a great light, had a super a-Ha!       moment and can sync in to the Tao of now,       knows the center, the hub, as it were,       and can be in balance, in the Zone,       return to it, as he has said,       and that is what he calls, being enlightened,       then I don't have a problem with him using that word.              Especially since he isn't talking about Taoism.       Then I might want to quibble more over words.              When you use the word, enlightened, what do you mean?              Do you mean, you see how desire/suffering are one?       Generally speaking that is.              Do you mean, everyone is the Self, at play?       Seeing how all is One, in each and every Way?              He doesn't seem to be saying that.              Semantics might be the rule for a day.       And one may find the world in a pickle.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
