   for the most part, anybody that is on the national, or   
   even international, circuit, is usually a pro at what they   
   play, but not always.   
      
   I remember seeing jim stafford once as the opening act   
   for loggins and messina and I didn't expect much from   
   him based on the pop song hits that he had at the time   
   but he came out by himself and played some spanish   
   style fingerpicking guitar and was really good.   
      
   I think though, that the opposite, a well known performer   
   who can't perform well is the exception rather than the   
   rule.
