You've brought up the word "inspiration", which is a word to think about
imo. And in the same post you're talking about things coming into play
"from right off out of the box" as you put it, from "outside" of the
individual, or at least from outside the mental box the individual has
constructed for his or her comfort. In the same conversation, Ned is
pointing at how "mistakes" can be our friends. You mentioned how such
things are cast "as if by pure chance or utter random".

These are not strange things happening that only you and Ned have touched
upon, they are part and parcel of my daily existence. They are neither
occasional nor random imo, they are effects caused by the way the world
works. Seeing them for what they are is imo a very large part of the
awakening experience, in fact it could be that "awakening" is the adoption
of a foreground/background reversal as one's new "default" orientation, a
sort of turning the sock of your mind inside out so the seams don't rub
your foot raw, so to speak.

More likely there are simply thoughts one can think, and ways we can think
them, that are mirrored by the remainder of the universe in order to keep
things in balance, particle by particle, as the quanta are arranged into
   manifestation.

Perhaps late this afternoon, while considering whether you've survived a
feast or doomed yourself to puking up your pumpkin pie, thinking about this
will give you something to distract yourself with... just relax and be
serene and let it all flow...
