   Chapter Eighty-Nine

Written Wednesday 4th of July 6181 SC / 4th of July 2018 CE. Here we go. A
few months have passed, and time for an update. I visited Mt Stromlo near
Weston Creek with Mum and Brigid a while back. We had a meal at the café
   there, and I enjoyed the
scenery. It overlooks the vast western area of Canberra, and the views are
truly magnificent. I recall thinking ideas like I did not really need to
travel to too many places in the world, because the local area already
   sufficed for that with enough
going on. I love being up at Mt Stromlo and Telstra Tower and the Arboretum
in Canberra – the spiritual animistic feel of the places is wonderful to
me. Adrian Chan retired from his work in Mental Health. I might see him this
   Christmas possibly, as
he has hinted I might get a visit from a Chinese Santa. Ian Pennel is his
replacement, who is a little younger than me. He’s a kiwi, but a really
nice guy, and does his job professionally. I haven’t been going to the drop
   in centre as much though
now since Adrian left, as the Internet is back on at home now, as we got a
good deal with mum’s Telstra service – in fact, probably paying now less
with the new deal – so I am not going to group as much anymore. Mostly
   content with home life in
reality. Rob Preston and Chris White dropped around the other night, on
Saturday the 30th of June, and Greg, Christie and James had arrived for a
holiday that afternoon. Greg and James will be staying about 2 weeks, but
Christie only about a week. We
had a ‘Catan’ night were we played Catan. Chris ended up winning, and it
was a great fellowship evening. We all got along pretty well. I gave Greg the
two Spellsinger books, books 7 and 8 in the saga, which he had never read, the
   other day, from
him to take back to Perth with him. He has already started reading one of
them. Greg, Mum, Christie and James went down to Jacinta’s in Cooma the
other day, and earlier this evening Greg and James went to the movies. I
   think they saw a Jurassic
World movie, or that was the plan. They asked me if I wanted to come along,
but I don’t like going out that much anymore. I’m 45 now, quite settled,
and the body is past its prime, and I don’t like to push it as much as I did
   in former years.
Mostly just like relaxing at home, doing my thing with the Internet and music
and TV, and not worrying about too much else anymore. I think I mostly
operate in retirement mode these days, and am not looking for too many more
   social encounters and trips.
An occasional thing, but I feel it in my bones these days, and don’t’
really want to get out and about like I used to. Just a rare trip. Still
single, no love life, and that doesn’t appear to be changing. Met a girl
online, who is from Cebu in
the Philippines, and we had a chat about religion. She was interesting.
I’m still talking with Emma Michel from Perth on Pinterest. At this stage I
no longer really plan on going back to Perth anymore, as I hate flying in
planes, but if and when mum
finally passes the possibility of moving in with Greg in Forrestfield in Perth
would be considered, but I would only get there by train taking my belongings
with me that way. I just can’t handle the turbulence in plains – like
   Logan Wolverine in the
second Wolverine movie, I grab the sides of the seat when in planes and am
very nervous. Not sure if human beings are really designed to fly –
something tells me I just shouldn’t be up there. My niece Georgia is
   expecting soon. We still don’t
know if it’s a boy or a girl, and they aren’t saying anything official as
of yet. My collection of things continues to grow – the current collection
is starting to get quite big again. I have a large supply of Marvel and DC
   movies, and there are
heaps of magazines to look at also at the moment. I’m 45 years old, mostly
settled in life, and not much is changing anymore. It will one day down the
road, but I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it. For now more of the same
   seems to be on my
plate. Justin Angold visited again for a a few times, but has stopped
visiting again. I would imagine, though, that somewhere down the track he
will possibly start visiting again, maybe for a period. That might be how it
   works with Justin – don’t
really know. My niece Madalene Bridges dropped around to visit mum the other
day. She looked well. She lives with her mother Brigid but is at her cousins
a lot apparently. Greg, Christie and James are in good health and spirits.
   Nothing seems to have
changed terribly much in their lives. Mum is as well as normal. Haven’t
seen Jacinta in a bit, but there is no news contrary to her faring as well as
usual. In the world today things are going pretty much according to regular
   ways. Donald Trump is
still President, and Malcolm Turnbull is still Prime Minister of Australia.
England defeated Australia 5 nil in the recent one day series in England at
Cricket, so times are good for my team. The bulldogs finally won a game on
the weekend, so I can have
a minor celebration. There odds of making the finals these years are
extremely slim – they would need to win practically every remaining game.
Maybe next year. We’ll see how it goes. Mostly life as usual, and nothing
   major planned. Steady work
on an occasional video for my Noahide Videos Bible, and maybe some writing
again soon enough. Did a lot of work for the first 5 months of the year, so
mostly resting for the remainder of it. Anyway, life is good. Cheers.
