   well, it's less 'commentary' and more /what brought me here?/... Today   
   to make that statement...   
      
   i caught a glimpse of the Cain and Abel story on the news   
      
   and i went back to before the beginning, again, and simply asked   
      
   "who asked?"   
      
   as in,I don't see YHWH God anywhere in this episode   
   ask Cain or Abel or Adam or anyone else,,,For anything,   
   like an offering or whatever.   
      
   Cain and Abel just took it upon themselves to bring some sort of   
   offering, and God /looked/ at one and didn't /look/ at tuther.   
      
   but, we remember, that God searches the hearts and tests the minds of   
   people.

   I, YHWH, search the heart, I test the mind,   
   Even to give every man according to his ways,   
   According to the fruit of his doings.

   God reveals a hand slowly...   
      
   so, while YHWH God was searching the hearts of these Two,   
   of whom nothing was asked,  God must have detected some   
   the Whys and the Wherefores of these two.   
      
   WHY are these two bringing things to God?   
      
      
   oh, by the way, look who else searches and tests;

   minds and hearts.

   one's intentions was pure and one's wasn't.

   see, Jesus already mentioned a distinction, between how "the   
   world..."gives""   
      
   and how God ..."gives"   
      
   and clearly when God gives, God expects nothing in return,   
      
   "lend , hoping for nothing in return"  [Luke 6:35]   
      
   but, "the world" does expect things in return for a gift..."quid quo   
   pro" [see Luke 14:12]   
      
   so, what's this got to do with The "Sabbath"?   
      
      
   just don't bring some wierd "offering" like a cake with a file in it   
      
   cuz that isn't going to get you in to free territory,   
      
   that's just gunna _prove_ that your mind and heart are /still/ jailed up.   
      
   no, you face your Maker empty handed, don't bring a greasy rag with you,   
      
   or Anything so as to focus attention of you and your so-called   
   "accomplishments"   
      
   Be a hilariously happy giver, that's fine,   
      
   but don't use -that- as some sort of leverage to Get you some thing else   
   in return...   
      
      
   see how easy this is?   
      
   it practically writes itself...
