February 17 will be Raven new moon (as in the Haida
creation legend of Raven and the First Men), Chinese New Year
(also known as Lunar New Year), a significant birthday in
my family, Mardi Gras/Shrove Tuesday/Pancake Day (and
the eve of Ash Wednesday), and an Annular Solar Eclipse,
or Ring of Fire, though it won’t be visible up north. It is
also the new/dark moon which falls just before the start
of Ramadan (which depends on the sighting of the earliest
waxing crescent). So I hope that my global new age onset
mystic activation sequence will work then, though I am trying
a little advance workings tonight, 12 hours before the
   exact time of new/dark moon.
