   Valentin Gruener, a German-born animal conservationist,   
   founded a wildlife refuge in Botswana a decade ago.   
      
   Eight year ago he befriended a lion cub, Sirga, who   
   was orphaned just three days after she was born. He   
   took gentle, loving care of her for eight months at   
   the sanctuary before he had to move on.   
      
   Recently, Gruener returned for the very first time   
   since leaving and he and Sirgra finally were reunited.
