       KANSAS CITY (Rueters) --   
   World-famous astrophysicist   
   Stephen Hawking will sing   
   "God Bless America" before   
   tonight's second game of the   
   World Series.   
       Hawking, an avid American   
   baseball fan, has been flown   
   in from his home in Oxford,   
   England, and, according to Fox   
   News, also will sign autographs   
   during the seventh-inning stretch.   
       As everyone knows, Hawking   
   went years assuring us that God   
   doesn't exist and had even put   
   it in writing in his 325-page   
   fictional novel.   
       However, about three weeks   
   ago, Stephen accidentally conked   
   his head on a low ceiling and,   
   since then, finally came to his   
   senses and no longer is the   
   world's No. 1 atheist.   
       True, Steve probably won't   
   carry a note as well as Kate   
   Smith when singing "God Bless   
   America" but we're mighty sure   
   it will be pretty close.
