For the same reasons child sexual abuse is not reported. The victims
aren't usually believed and the agony they endure going through a
trial process, which usually acquits the perpetrator, aren't worth it.

Perhaps you've been out of touch with planet earth, but child abuse,
especially sexual abuse, is one of the most underreported crimes. For
example, I was in my forties before I found out, by accident, that my
grandfather had molested my mom and all three of my aunts when they
   were kids.

   >allegations should be 'relevant so long after the fact?

Because they go to character. You're among the many pushing for Bill
Clinton's impeachment and conviction for sexual behavior. Even last
year, long after the statute of limitations had run out, Republicans
were still using Bill's behavior as far back as the seventies against
   his wife.

So stick your hypocritical head back up your hypocritical ass where
   you usually keep it.
