   Just FYI, most transgender people prefer to be described as, well,   
   "transgender people." Or "transgender folks," if you like. The thinking   
   is describing minoritized folks with just an adjective ("transgenders,"   
   "Blacks," et cetera) can be a bit dehumanizing.
