    The far east is not a nation but a geo-political melange   
   of governments including places like Singapore or Saudi Arabia   
   where such severe penalties obtain. Taking drugs as mild as   
   cannabis or as strong as alcohol across a Muslim border is only   
   allowed to the uppermost class in society.
