This is a generally applicable rule when markets are driven
underground by legislative fiat. It matters not whether one is
talking about drugs, guns, sex or even organic food. It seems that
governments do not like competition very much so by demonizing some
entity, they may protect some monopoly, but will also create a
black market. Drugs are a very good example of this. The fact that
people can get "illicit" drugs easily demonstrates that the market
always works. The other side of the coin is that the existence of a
black market serves as an excuse for governments (all of which are
by definition corrupt) to seize more power over their citizens/serfs
and thus further erode civil liberties. In fact, I'm thinking that
the currently popular attack on RKBA by the Obama crowd will simply
mean that some really strange people will finally find it compelling
to get their hands on some truly nasty weaponry.....thus leading to
another bid at more power for the ferals....

And to the poster complaining about "Hispanics destroying their
host country", you really need to look to D.C. for that particular
appellation. Destruction of the economy is an internal affair.

When any government, or any church for that matter, undertakes to say to
its subjects, "This you may not read, this you must not see, this you
are forbidden to know," the end result is tyranny and oppression, no
matter how holy the motives. Mighty little force is needed to control a
man whose mind has been hoodwinked; contrariwise, no amount of force can
control a free man, a man whose mind is free. No, not the rack, not
fission bombs, - not anything - you can't conquer a free man; the most
you can do is kill him.
