   I don't download illegal copies of anything. I don't make illegal copies

   Note you snipped out the relevant point: it's harder to get tainted drugs in   
   a legal market than in an illegal market.   
      
   Tainted illegal drugs are fairly widespread. Tainted legal drugs are hard to   
   come by.   
      
   How often do you hear about people dying from methanol poisoning from drinking   
   alcohol?   
      
   If a legal drug is tainted, you can sue the manufacturer. When illegal drugs   
   are tainted, it's simply caveat emptor.
