Of course I'm going to enjoy myself with stuff that kills brain cells,
rots your liver and drives you crazy. Why not? People do it all the
   time, it's part of living.

I'll never stop having a few pints of ale or glasses of wine now and
again, or even a few glasses of Glenfiddich when the mood takes me
despite the massive damage that alcohol does to your brain cells and
liver. Tobacco kills nerve cells, damages your brain and causes lung
cancer amongst other things, but people still think it's worth having
a smoke. Good luck to them if that's what rings their bell. Not for
me, though, my only smoke nowadays is some nice Ganja. Lovely.

I suppose I could subsist on brown rice and lettuce leaves in a cave
in the Himalayas and live to be 190, but what's the point?

Life is a terminal condition anyway, so you might as well have some
fun while you're here, even if it will kill you in the end. And both
Glenfiddich and a bit of organic home grown are nice little life
enhancers that put a gilded edge on the process of living.

So cheers, I'll choose my poison and have fun my way, you go through
your life scared shitless of the pleasures of grape and barley and
whetever else people find their fun in. You might even live to be
190, you miserable old git, but to me it seems that you'd be just
   drawing out the suffering.
