   I don't know. It seems to me that these researchers are claiming that   
   the internal dialogue I thought was normal is an indicator of mental   
   illness.   
      
   Maybe from their perspective it is. Maybe they regard a rich inner   
   life as bonkers and for them normal is being as thick and lifeless   
   inside as a block of concrete.   
      
   This would certainly explain a lot I have observed about people   
   throughout my long life.
