That's one area where you and I differ. I believe the law should not concern
itself with moral issues but only ethical issues.

And I put the divide between ethics and morals where it involves unwilling
others or those incapable of giving legal permission.

So drinking alcohol may be morally wrong to a Mormon, but I don't believe
it is ethically wrong to sell a Mormon alcohol. It may be morally wrong for
a Mormon to sell or otherwise provide alcohol to another Mormon, but I don't
believe that it is ethically wrong and should not be part of US law.

If it is against Mormon law, then the Mormon church can excommunicate or shun
or otherwise punish the sinner as long as the punishment is otherwise legal
(no jailing or corporal punishment, etc.), but I don't believe the government
   should uphold church law.

On the other hand, a legal minor is considered to be incapable of giving legal
consent, so I do not believe it is unethical to ban selling of alcohol to a
child. I do, on the other hand, believe it is unethical to ban selling of
   alcohol to an adult.

    suprised that all do not."
