   	All the little criminals I know are paying state and federal and   
   sometimes   
   city taxes on front businesses and that won't go away soon.   
      
   	Now they would happily pay reasonable taxes but those   
   are not under discussion.  Here in California Aminano's bill   
   calls for   
   a flat $50 per ounce tariff.  California will realize a lot more   
   money   
   from this moderate rate (which I find very high) than Massachusetts   
   with its sinfully high "sin" taxes.  A flat sales tax would be   
   even more   
   sensible but that ain't gonna happen even though it would be the   
   same presently the proposed tax.
