   I'm old enough to remember two decades of absolute   
   arrogance of power and indifference to human suffering   
   of the Tories. So I would never say that things would   
   be better under them.   
      
   But there has to be a leftwing Labour Party somewhere,   
   instead of this neoliberal, Washington Consensus version   
   that seems to have taken over social democracy all over   
   Europe (Merkel, Bos, etc.).
