   Total bollocks.

Addicts on methadone maintenance don't get high off of methadone, they get
"normal". It's much better for an addict to drive after a maintenance dose
than for an addict to drive while jonesing or in withdrawal.

And studies by the US DOT have found that marijuana-only using drivers do not
have accidents at a higher rate than totally sober drivers. In fact the rate
was slightly lower for marijuana-only users, but not enough lower to be
   statistically significant.

Mixing marijuana with alcohol, however, makes one a worse driver than alcohol
alone. Alcohol, cell phone and PDA disractions, and sleepiness are probably
the biggest problems for causing accidents.
