Marijuana is not very addictive, but denying the small number of users do get
addicted is denying reality. Smoking marijuana damages lungs and can cause
cancer. Claiming marijuana has no risks is as silly as claiming it is a killer
   drug.

Realistically marijuana is the safest recreational drug, and far less damaging
than the penalties against it. But it is not without any risk.

Humans require sugar: your brain doesn't metabolise amino acids. Even if you
   eat
only protein, your liver will convert amino acids into sugar to maintain blood
glucose. Your body doesn't need marijuana, caffeine, alcohol, etc to survive.
   It
does need sugar, water, oxygen, protein, and traces of a few other things.
