   	Caffeine strips the insulation from the nerves   
   and causes chromosomal damage. Puritan approved.   
   Alcohol kills brain cells and given time liver cells   
   while it remains as addictive as other narcotic drugs.   
   But the real Puritans preferred to drink as the water   
   of the colony was dangerous. Puritan approved for   
   hundreds of years.   
      
   	So what if it shrinks the brain. Smaller brains   
   are more efficient. Unless someone is in a lot of pain   
   daily cannabis use is pointless. If someone is taking   
   cannabis frequently they do not have to worry about   
   interfering with the respiratory reflex as alcohol   
   and the opiates do. Medical alcoholic solutions of   
   cannabis were on the Formulary before 1937 when   
   Harry J.Anslinger decided to stick his spoke in   
   the wheel of medicine in the hope of increasing his   
   bureaucracy at the pre-DEA, Federal Bureau of Narcotics.   
      
   	Oh by the way torture also shrinks the brain   
   apparently of the tortured and the torturer who thinks   
   that torture gets truth out of the tortured. This   
   justification for sadism extends up the hierarchy to   
   the approver of such stupid behavior. Maybe the result   
   of tortuous up-bringings by controlling parents?
